RTE is currently screening a great show by Des Bishop, the Irish-American comedian, who spent a year in Connemara, trying to learn Irish. Catch up with 'In the name of the Fada' online at RTE. Make sure you check out www.desbishop.com for some new interactive Irish learning materials. Check out Wikipedia's extensive introduction to the Irish language. If you're an absolute beginner check out the BBC's Giota Beag - a fantastic and free audio course for Irish language beginners. Giota beag - which means 'a wee bit' - is narrated by Irish language teacher Fearghal Mag Uiginn. And once you've finished that, you can try Giota Beag Eile - 'another wee bit'. Download a free Irish language audio course, narrated by Liam Ó Maonlaí. There's some PDF support with this. Check out some Irish language interactive games from the BBC.
