    Is this ok to do?

I was hoping to use the word-a-day flashcards in an online SRS. Can I do that?

Here is an example: http://flashcarddb.com/cardset/9857-irish-word-a-day  (see the image card for bird at the bottom)

Can I use the images or should I delete this? I put a link in the description. Cool

No problem either way. I'll be coming here regardless!

    Hi Evan

    Fáilte chuig Labhair Gaeilge!

    *Welcome to Talk Irish**

You're very welcome to use the cards on your site! And we appreciate the link back to our site - go raibh maith agat *thanks* :)

I've got a collection of flashcards and mp3s on my iPod for learning on the go - would you be interested in that? I've even got a cool iQuiz app for learning Irish too, which I want to share on the site.

Is there anything else you'd like to see on the site or anything we can help you with? We're beta-testing our games and dictionary and want to launch these soon...along with some crosswords and other learning materials!

    Ádh mór ort!

    *Good luck on you!*

    Michelle

    Ah.. thanks!

One thing I'm interested in is being able to understand more of the common elements in place names. Or in the names of new housing developments and estate names.

Ah thanks! I remember reading about that in the news. But I had forgotten. Is there a resource there that shows the various elements in common for similar names? I love the translate this list of names feature - very cool.

Hey - I like the idea of a 'translate these placenames' feature. Will see what I can do (what I'd love to do is a google maps app that lets you insert the Irish placename, the English placename and the translation...but that's a whole new website!).

I put together a quick guide to Irish placenames and made a pdf with a table of common elements...not sure if the PDF is showing up - but check out the post under the new Placenames Forum Smile

Let me know what you think.
